Google Lively官方网站报道，Google将于2008年12月31号关闭虚拟世界服务Lively。

在今年7月分Google launched Lively Virtual World，并试图挑战当时最火爆的虚拟世界“Second Life(第二人生)”，仅仅几个月时间，Google就失败了。Lively是一款基于网页的虚拟世界服务，透过这项服务，网友们将可以在浏览器上建立起自己的虚拟世界，进入各个公开场合或是自行搭构一个个人空间，与其它网友进行聊天、分享等各种交流，该软件同时可以嵌入博客或者Facebook页面。期间，有过一个爆料Google Lively has Many Adult Rooms，Google Lively 有成人房间，这个明显与Google LivelY的规定相悖，:) 老外真是牛比。

Google Lively在虚拟时间的尝试算是结束了，不知道以后还会有啥东东出来，不过看Google的实力，肯定还会有更好的创新出来。
